Rainroute (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the Rainroute platform, a business management tool for gutter installation contractors. Our website is rainroute.com. Questions about this policy can be directed to hello@rainroute.com.

2. Information We Collect

Information you provide

  • Account registration data (name, email address, password)
  • Business profile information (company name, phone number, address, logo)
  • Client records (names, email addresses, phone numbers, addresses)
  • Estimates, job records, invoices, and notes you create within the platform
  • Inventory and material data
  • Messages and communications sent through the platform
  • Payment and billing information (processed by Stripe — we do not store card numbers)

Information collected automatically

  • Log data (IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamps)
  • Device information (operating system, device type)
  • Usage analytics (feature usage, session duration)
  • Cookies and similar tracking technologies

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and improve the Rainroute platform
  • Send estimates, invoices, and other communications on your behalf to your clients
  • Send transactional emails (account confirmations, password resets, billing notifications)
  • Process payments and manage subscriptions
  • Respond to support requests
  • Monitor for security issues and prevent fraud
  • Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use your client data for our own marketing purposes.

4. Sharing Your Information

We share information only with the following categories of third parties:

  • Infrastructure providers — Supabase (database and authentication), Vercel (hosting)
  • Email delivery — Resend (transactional email)
  • SMS delivery — Twilio (client text messages sent through the platform)
  • Payment processing — Stripe (billing and subscriptions)
  • Analytics — We may use privacy-focused analytics tools

All third-party providers are bound by data processing agreements and are prohibited from using your data for their own purposes.

We may disclose information if required to do so by law or in response to a valid legal process.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your subscription and request deletion, we will delete your data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law. Client records, estimates, and job data may be retained in backups for up to 90 days following deletion.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Object to or restrict certain processing
  • Data portability (receive a copy of your data in a structured format)

7. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted data transmission (TLS), row-level security on all database tables, rate limiting on public endpoints, and secure credential storage. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

8. Children

Rainroute is not directed to individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you become aware that a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by displaying a notice in the app. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
